[Hello, big, bumbling derp. Fionna's got a stick in her hands and she's waving it around like a sword. It's kind of a useless pursuit at a camp full of psychic people, but she had a collection once at home, okay. Even if this is a stick sword instead of her big sister's awesome collection of actual swords that she's totally not supposed to touch but touches anyway.]

[When she whirls around, she stops with the stick in her hand and jumps.]

Fionna ol' bird! [He is completely unfazed by this stick swinging and just grins wide at her.]

A sight for sore eyes, how's the rest of your year been?

Heeeeyyyy, Jake. You scared the buns off of me. [Grinning, she shifts and put a hand on her hip, letting the arm holding her stick fall to her side.]

Pretty math. I spent it with my big sister. [She swings it back up again and points it at him.] How bout you, dude?

I hope you'll beg my pardon, then! I didn't mean to spook you.

[Jake rubs the back of his neck.] It was all right, I suppose. I spent it back home like I usually do! Combing the wilds for the likes of adventure, you understand.

Radical. Dude, you have to tell me all your epic adventuring stories. Did you wrestle any bears?

Sadly not! We don't get a lot of bears on the islands. I saw a crocodile, though. He was a little too far out to wrestle.

[Of course wrestling a croc would also mean DEATH but that's a small detail.]

Duuuude. [Fionna thinks your life is pretty much the coolest thing, Jake.] You gotta let me come visit you sometime for adventuring and junk! I love adventuring. Plus I don't think I've ever been ever out to an island before.
