TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional. [ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another. [ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get! [ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples! [ 5. ] Have fun!

[Ken's never been overly fond of lightning storms, something that's stemmed from childhood. He's taking this moment to create a program on his laptop, face illuminated by the light coming from the screen, fingers tapping lightly away at the keyboard. His gaze barely lifts from the screen, but he'll occasionally raise a hand to his face in thought, as though just blinking back into existence.]

[ Twilight was a new addition to the staff this year. Well, she was technically there to keep an eye on the camp - to determine if it was producing comparatively better results than other methods, to do firsthand research on the camp's effectiveness in training the campers, and, more importantly, helping them adjust to their lives as psychics and future as psychonauts. She was an evaluator sent by the psychonauts, in other words. But she liked to help out the other psychonauts and counselors when she could. The campers themselves didn't know of her true purpose, only that she was the psychonaut who sometimes helped out the others with their lessons and, in cases when they weren't available, take over their lessons for a day.

And so she did her best to help out. In this case, she was expertly levitating a checklist in front of her, a pen to check off campers on said list when she confirmed their presence, and off to the side a book entitled "Emergency Protocols for Camp Counselors" (third edition, and signed by the author.)

She didn't really know what else to do in this situation, or worse, how to comfort a crying child, so she was trying to brush up on what she should be doing. So don't mind her if she seems a bit distracted as she walks by and checks off somebody's name. ]

[She saw the power outage coming so she made her way to the lodge early. Now she's just sitting in a giant comfy chair with her legs hung over the side and her eyes closed. What else is there to do?]

[Done with her tasks, Applejack stretches her arms over her head, yawning loudly as she walked around the Lodge, checking in on the other junior counselors and if they needed any help. Growing up on a farm meant that she needed things to do by the hour, otherwise she'd get bored. She couldn't go out and take her aggression out on anything due to the storm, so until then she was stuck pacing around the Lodge, arms behind her head.

Agent Aquato was taking care of telling the young'uns stories, so she crossed her arms behind her head and tapped her foot against the floor as she wondered what to do.]

Francis York Morgan | Deadly Premonition | Precognition Counselor

[Ironically, York really should have seen this storm coming. But everything considered, he wasn't too keen on using his abilities for mere forecasting, not when he had run out of coffee. It's a pretty good stroke of luck that he found himself in the lodge, getting a refill for his personal machine when the storm broke.

So suffice to say, he's walking around the building, assisting where needed, and sipping some java to himself when not.]

[Power's out? As long as Gaz's still got juice in her GameSlave, she doesn't care. She'll just be over here in the corner, jabbing away at the buttons and ignoring everyone else.

Of course, nobody here yet knows the unspoken rule of "whatever you do, do NOT bother Dib's scary sister..."]

Rapunzel / Disney's Tangled / Junior Camper

[ Rapunzel did not particularly like the dark. Her large green eyes flitted towards a fork of lightning that flashed and counted the seconds for the thunder to roll.

With a sigh, she curled up in her dress, with her knees to her chest in the corner. She wanted to hum to lighten the dreary mood, but stopped herself. Though the glow of her long, blond hair would be nice in this dark building, she didn't want to make a spectacle of herself. Mother had warned her against doing such things. Even if this was a special camp, Rapunzel doubted anyone else had such odd side effects.

She lifted up her hair to check on Pascal, her chameleon, who was sitting on her shoulder and taking a snooze. Typical. ]

John Egbert | Homestuck | Senior Camper

[Power's out? Well that kind of sucks but you know what? Not a problem! Especially not when you have a candle to amuse yourself. Or perhaps it's only not a problem if you're easily amused...]

[John is off on his own next to one of the walls, making shadow puppets in the light of a small, fat candle. Here's a bird and a dog and a...rhino? Maybe? Who knows.]

[Oh, the power's out? Excellent, then Roxy will take this opportunity to go visit the other cabins late at night!

Does she care that she'll get drenched in this downpour? Fuck no. She is a Lalonde and Lalondes are hardened to these storms after living in New York as long as they have!

Hope nobody minds Roxy suddenly being all up and inside your cabin for no immediately obvious reason.]

[Lizzie really should have been making rounds or something, being a Junior Counselor and everything. But her Macbook was running on nothing but its barely nonexistent battery power, and was already down to 15%. Frightened, disoriented preteens had to take a backseat.

The power was out, and her baby was dying. Lizzie felt completely justified in praying to the ghost of Steve Jobs.]

Oh dear sweet god why did I never master Mediumship…? Come on, I know you’re there Jobs, I want my Customer Service Support.

Fiametta 'Flame Princess' Principessa | Adventure Time w/ Finn and Jake | Senior Camper

[It's the first night back at camp, and Flame Princess has already broken into the marshmallows. She'd bought them at a convenience store back home just for this occasion.

She wasn't really one for smores back home - she and her father never went camping as a kid, so she didn't know - but Whispering Rock really turned her onto them.

She stands next to the burning area for the campfire, gives the designated wood a soft touch, and it comes alive with a fire at her fingertips. When she decides that it's high time to start eating, she tosses a marshmallow into the flame, not even bothering to put it onto a stick. She'll get it out when it's nice and cooked.

She's got a lot to share, so don't hesitate to come up and ask.

Stealing them, on the other hand, is an entirely different story.]

Pitch Black (Kozmotis Pitchiner) | Rise of the Guardians

[Pitch is a tad busy fixing his umbrella while not spilling the contents of his mug on top of sending a glare at the storm. He was in the middle of unpacking when he got the notification that he'd been needed in the lodge to... babysit.

He's probably just going to lurk by the door hogging a lantern, preventing people from sneaking out of the lodge. He may or may not be avoiding a certain telepathy counselor as well.]
