TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional.
[ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another.
[ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get!
[ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples!
[ 5. ] Have fun!

[Norman was trying to read a comic in piece. The weather didn't scare him or anything, but wow was this place crowded. He just wanted some peace and quiet.]

[ Raz can be found in the lounge, occupying a beanbag chair with a bunch of lanterns and candles everywhere. He may or may not be telling stories in the dim light, in place of the dead TV's lack of programming. Come share stories, fictional or otherwise, with your fellow campers. ]

[ Even with the power out and the lodge kind of full and busy, Marshall has taken up residence on the edge of the stage, strumming his guitar absently when not singing whatever song comes to mind. As nicely, and he'll even play requests. ]

[Jake is going to be helping the counselors make sure there are enough supplies to go around. Feel free to grab him if you need something. He's kind of camp's pack mule.]

[Trying to keep control of the situation. He's likely going over the headcount to make sure everyone's present.]

[ Right now, you can basically find Tooth e v e r y w h e r e right now. She's passing out sources of light, blankets, pillows, getting food and drinks if people need/want them (so she'll be in the kitchen), checking up on junior campers, the works. Maybe she'll sit down at some point.

[ Peebs seems to have an assortment of board games spread out around her. Where did she find them? Who knows. But she seems pretty absorbed in reading all of their rule books.

Scrabble. Pictionary. Battleship. Monopoly. Even the Pandemic board game.

Well, reading their rules is sure to be... interesting. But it'd be more fun to play them, right?

Or just bother her. Whatevs. ]

[Man- as much as he'd rather be outside, it would just have to be storming. Well, no biggie- there had to be something interesting in the lodge to do, right?

...Well, there are less things to do than he expected. Or, well, less things he wanted to do. Now Finn's sitting in a chair in the lounge, but he looks bored out of his mind. If something interesting doesn't happen sooner or later he's going to take matters into his own hands.]

[Fionna is bored to tears. Sitting around in a cabin during a power outage is not exactly her idea of a fun time, and if it wasn't for the storm, she'd probably be outside doing god only knows what. But spotting Marshall, she hops up on the stage beside him, sitting down and resting her arms on the top of her legs.]

Are you gonna give us a concert?

[Fionna is in a corner of the room where an old dartboard has been set up, squinting at the board and holding a dart in her hand. It's probably meant for some sort of marksmanship practice, but she's trying her hand at it physically, instead, something she's better at anyway, and bobbing her hand, getting ready to make a toss.

This is so boring.]

[Bored to tears himself, Finn had been just exploring the lodge before he happens upon Fionna, messing around with the dartboard. He stops a foot or two away from her, looking from the dart in her hand to the dartboard.]

..Whacha' doin'?

[ It's no surprise that Fionna is going nuts all cooped up in the great hall, but Marshall is willing to try and alleviate her boredom. Tuning the guitar again as she takes a seat with him, he strums and hums to match pitch. Better. ]

Maybe. Gotta give the people something to look back on when I make it big.

[Bran's in his wheelchair, watching the storm from out of the window; Summer is perched next to him, with her head in his lap. He's idly scratching her head, but otherwise, he's quiet, staying away from the other campers. Maybe he's just shy?]

Maybe now that your voice changed. [She grins, punching his arm playfully.] What're you jammin to?

[Hope you don't mind Peebs, but Finn wandered over and he's been watching you from the back of your chair for a moment or two now. He's never interested in the rules to the game, just as long as it's fun and fair.

So he smiles a little, leaning his arm against the back of the chair.]

..So what kinda games do they got here..?

Throwin' darts. [She offers her hand to him, grinning.] Wanna try, dude?

[Unfortunately the boy doesn't realize Norman just wants to be left alone for now- ..he spotted that comic book and now he's curious. Normal books were kinda lame to him, but comic books? They had nothing but pictures almost.

So he sits near him, resting his arms on his knees before speaking.]

...Whatcha' readin'?

Sure!

[He squints and takes the dart from her, before looking back up at the board.]

So what I just- ....try to hit the middle part, right?

[ He actually preens, pleased. His voice going from cracking for a good year to what it is now has been the best thing ever. ]

Dunno. Whatever comes to mind. [ He leans an arm on the neck. ] Any suggestions?

Hey, Tati, you planning on sitting down anytime before the storm ends? [Coming to grab a heavy pallet of water bottles from Tooth is Stiles, who hoists it up the best he can and wobbles a little to carry it out to the campers.] You're like a fairy.

Oh, hey Finn. [ 'sup?

Peebs lowers her manual a little. Settlers of Catan. Whatever that is. ]

They've got all sorts of games here. For real.

Or, well, board games. No video games. [ But that's to be expected. ] Not that it'd do us any good right now, even if they did.

[He grins at her and takes a seat across from where the games are laid out, picking up one in his hands. Monopoly. Can't say he's ever heard of it.]

Huh... are they any good?

Wh-- oh, thank you, Stiles. [ Surprise giving way to a smile, Tooth reaches up to make sure that he stays balanced. It's funny that such a tiny person could carry such a heavy thing.

She is sheepish, though. ] I was going to!

Yup. [She takes a step back and puts her hands on her hips.] Right dead in the middle gets you more points! Me and Cake play it home like all the time.

[ Aaaand there's a rather disapproving voice, coming from a disapproving pink-haired princess. ]

Hey. Isn't it too dark to be playing with that? You could poke somebody's eye out.
