TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional. [ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another. [ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get! [ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples! [ 5. ] Have fun!

[ Even with the power out and the lodge kind of full and busy, Marshall has taken up residence on the edge of the stage, strumming his guitar absently when not singing whatever song comes to mind. As nicely, and he'll even play requests. ]

[Fionna is bored to tears. Sitting around in a cabin during a power outage is not exactly her idea of a fun time, and if it wasn't for the storm, she'd probably be outside doing god only knows what. But spotting Marshall, she hops up on the stage beside him, sitting down and resting her arms on the top of her legs.]

Are you gonna give us a concert?

[ It's no surprise that Fionna is going nuts all cooped up in the great hall, but Marshall is willing to try and alleviate her boredom. Tuning the guitar again as she takes a seat with him, he strums and hums to match pitch. Better. ]

Maybe. Gotta give the people something to look back on when I make it big.

Maybe now that your voice changed. [She grins, punching his arm playfully.] What're you jammin to?

[ He actually preens, pleased. His voice going from cracking for a good year to what it is now has been the best thing ever. ]

Dunno. Whatever comes to mind. [ He leans an arm on the neck. ] Any suggestions?

Hmmm...[She wrinkles her nose, thinking. Marshall you're a dork.] Something awesome. Or something I know, I guess.

Hey, rockstar.

[Hopping up onto the stage with just the slightest ghost of a lev ball visible for a second or two- hey, he's been working on it- Gumball strides over to Marshall's side and leans over.]

'sup, highness.

[ Marshall looks up from his strumming in time to catch the levitation orb-- or whatever it passes as-- and offers a fangy grin up at him. ]

I'm helping plenty by providing entertainment and staying out of the way.

[Nudging Marshall's shoulder- he notices you noticed, shut up, that's embarrassing- he motions at the guitar.]

I dunno, I'm not very entertained.

[ No he's totally proud of you okay. He doesn't hesitate to nudge him back, grinning even more. ]

Sing me something pretty. Florence, even.

[He's just being a little shit, of course. Sitting next to Marshall, he snorts and pulls his arms up over his knees.]

I dunno, Marsh. Learn anything new?

Florence, huh.

[ He strums absently, thinking even as he rolls his eyes. He's used to Gumball's teasing, and doesn't feel the need to answer back. ]

Y'know, maybe later when the power's back. Could play you something on my electric.

Mm, fair enough. Do I get a filler while I wait?

[He leans forward a little, watching Marshall's fingers over the guitar.]

Something bluesy, I dunno. You're good at that nowadays.

'Course you do.

[ He leans on the neck as he looks at him, raising both brows and puffing out some thoughtful air. But then he nods, sitting back and tapping the foot on the stage. ]

Bluesy I can do. [ And does, as he starts to play. The lyrics come easily, especially in his deeper voice. ]

[Oh modest holy church of glob, that sounded so much cooler than last summer.

Tapping his foot a little, Gumball leans back on his palms as he listens, closing his eyes with a smile. And, after a little, shoves Marshall's shoulder.]

Look at you. Not fair you got so good so quick.

[ It does, and Marshall is more than a little excited for it. But he keeps his cool, and sways with the shove. Hugging his guitar to him, he crosses his legs and grins at Gumball, righting himself and drumming his fingers on the body of the instrument. ]

Hey I was good before, I just didn't have the pipes for it yet.

And now you're here making the rest of us look bad. All in a year.

[He's been trying not to sound impressed- but really, it's impressive.]

You're gonna run off and start a band and we'll only see you in the papers.

Nahh, I'll come do gigs at the kingdom and you 'n Bubbles can get the best seats in the house.

[ Leaning, he bumps their shoulders together and stays there a moment. Of course Gumball's thoughts on his singing matter to him, he's just going to never admit to it. ]

Of course you will. Where else are you going to get such an island venue, hm?

[Grinning, Gumball leans over too, head resting on Marshall's shoulder for just a second (enough to seem playful, anyway). He looks around, then, sighing.]

And I'd come to see your shows when I can. Or at least listen to your records.

[ It's playful, but so's the brief tap of Marshall's head against Gumball's on his shoulder (or so it seems, anyways). When the prince looks around, he straightens, plucking at strings and humming quietly. ]

You ever need entertainment at one of your fancy shindigs you can sneak me in when no one's looking. I'll entertain your court personally.

Or you can actually be cool and just play for me instead.

[Leaning back on his palms again, Gumball smiles.]

Or at least on blackout nights like this. 'S a lot hotter back home, though.

[ Like he did anyways. Marshall glances up from under the sweep of his hair, looking out on the great hall before to his friend. ]

S'not the worst it's ever been, at leasr. But I'd like it more if there were less people, actually.

[Finn has wandered over and has been listening to Marshall play for a moment or two, a grin on his face.]

Yaknow, I wish I could play an instrument like that. ...I used t'be able to play the flute, but mine's kinda like....busted up now.

[ Hey there are totally rock flutes out there, he's sure that'd be pretty awesome to play with. ]

Me 'n Marce brought like, all of our guitars and stuff. Bet we could send you back home with some math skills.

[He nods, swinging his arms a little at his sides- but he pauses at the last thing Marshall says.]

Woah- ...really? You guys would really teach me...?
