TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional.
[ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another.
[ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get!
[ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples!
[ 5. ] Have fun!

[Norman was trying to read a comic in piece. The weather didn't scare him or anything, but wow was this place crowded. He just wanted some peace and quiet.]

[ Raz can be found in the lounge, occupying a beanbag chair with a bunch of lanterns and candles everywhere. He may or may not be telling stories in the dim light, in place of the dead TV's lack of programming. Come share stories, fictional or otherwise, with your fellow campers. ]

[ Even with the power out and the lodge kind of full and busy, Marshall has taken up residence on the edge of the stage, strumming his guitar absently when not singing whatever song comes to mind. As nicely, and he'll even play requests. ]

[Jake is going to be helping the counselors make sure there are enough supplies to go around. Feel free to grab him if you need something. He's kind of camp's pack mule.]

[Trying to keep control of the situation. He's likely going over the headcount to make sure everyone's present.]

[ Right now, you can basically find Tooth e v e r y w h e r e right now. She's passing out sources of light, blankets, pillows, getting food and drinks if people need/want them (so she'll be in the kitchen), checking up on junior campers, the works. Maybe she'll sit down at some point.

[ Peebs seems to have an assortment of board games spread out around her. Where did she find them? Who knows. But she seems pretty absorbed in reading all of their rule books.

Scrabble. Pictionary. Battleship. Monopoly. Even the Pandemic board game.

Well, reading their rules is sure to be... interesting. But it'd be more fun to play them, right?

Or just bother her. Whatevs. ]

[Man- as much as he'd rather be outside, it would just have to be storming. Well, no biggie- there had to be something interesting in the lodge to do, right?

...Well, there are less things to do than he expected. Or, well, less things he wanted to do. Now Finn's sitting in a chair in the lounge, but he looks bored out of his mind. If something interesting doesn't happen sooner or later he's going to take matters into his own hands.]

[Fionna is in a corner of the room where an old dartboard has been set up, squinting at the board and holding a dart in her hand. It's probably meant for some sort of marksmanship practice, but she's trying her hand at it physically, instead, something she's better at anyway, and bobbing her hand, getting ready to make a toss.

This is so boring.]

[Bran's in his wheelchair, watching the storm from out of the window; Summer is perched next to him, with her head in his lap. He's idly scratching her head, but otherwise, he's quiet, staying away from the other campers. Maybe he's just shy?]

[And that would be someone maybe a couple years old for a normal newbie, currently hiding in a blanketpile, trying to pretend he doesn't exist.]

[He'd probably do better at hiding if there were other explanations for abominable blanketmonsters than people under them, if he wasn't trying to keep looking out, and if the nearest bunks weren't jittering whenever there was a close-looking lightning strike or someone walking too close by.]

[Bunny, however, is making rounds and making sure everyone's in the lounge. He's just got some protective habits, shut up. He's nothing like his counsellor.]

[ Sandy is keeping himself occupied by making sure everyone is alright and no one (especially the little campers) are scared by the storm. Later, once everyone is more settled, perhaps he'll start up a game of charades. He is very good at charades. ]

[ LSP is so totes bored omg. Can you believe her phone like, died right before the storm??? Uh, how is she supposed to play Angry Birds without her phone?? Whatever, she's got better things to do than demolish evil pigs anyway. Sitting in her seat along the wall, Lumpy idly doodles/writes in a notebook she usually keeps on her person. Who knows, someone could do something Duchess Gummybuns worthy and she's gotta document it for posterity, right?? ]

[Jack's lounging around in a corner on a beanbag with his arms behind his head, one leg crossed over the other as he stares up at the roof. There's nothing really much to do with the power out, even if it would be prime pranking time for the Pyro Cats. A small hummingbird is perched near him, chirping from time to time as he answers back in whistles.]

Oh don't worry, it's fake. Just enjoy that little shock for a moment.]

[Randall had a ball of fire hovering in the palm of his hand, which-- well OK maybe an open flame wasn't the best thing to have around in a small enclosed lodge that everyone was stuck in, but he was careful! Plus it was a well needed light source, which he was currently using to check up on all of the campers.]

Is everyone all right? [He called, to those inside and those who may have just made it out of the storm.] Is anyone hurt? Anyone's friends missing?

[ A senior camper with a skill in telepathy and only telepathy. A senior camper who wants to be a junior counselor but can't earn the mandatory badges. A scary guy who loves Whispering Rock more than anybody else and will kill you if you ever tarnish its name. All of these things are true of Hibari Kyouya.

He's standing next to the main entrance, making sure nobody tries to sneak out. He doesn't have any official capacity to stop the kids from leaving, but the counselors want them to stay in the lodge, and the campers had better comply unless they want to taste the bite of Hibari's tonfa.

A hedgehog peeks out from the pocket of Hibari's long jacket, and a small yellow bird sits atop his head. Don't be fooled by the cute critters, he's still a vicious guy to deal with. ]

[Technically, Arya should be practicing her Marksmanship now, considering it's the only badge she has besides Basic Braining. She worked hard to earn it last summer, and if you say anything otherwise, she'll shoot you full of little holes. With her brain.

But unfortunately, she's not. She's sitting by the a lantern, polishing her sword by lamplight. Nymeria's curled up next to her, all tuckered out from bounding around the lodge during the entire outage.

Despite her badge in Marksmanship, she's always wanted to have a sword, and she nicked it off the walls of her foster family's elaborate home before coming to camp this summmer. Unfortunately, she's not really skilled with it, only knowing how to give quick jabs. As such, she'd rather be out exploring the camp, sword at her side...but she's stuck in here, grumpy.]

[Lili's technically done her rounds for the evening, currently leaning against a wall in the main room of the Lounge and keeping an eye on things in case someone needs a counselor. When they asked her if she wanted to be a counselor for Whispering Rock, this wasn't something she'd thought would happen. Sure in her time as a junior camper they'd had black outs, but this was probably the first time one had lasted this long. Still, she crossed her arms, legs kicked out in front of her and crossed at the ankle as she watched the bitty campers keep themselves occupied.]

[Don't mind Counselor, Eddie. He's found an unoccupied spot to smoke. Crowded lodge or not, he at least is going to get in one cancer stick today.]

[Counsellor Lee pops his head out off a wooden door in the side of a cliff as he hears someone walk by. He's got his hard hat on, which means he's busy at work attempting to build machinery to channel his favoured ability into a powerful, real life weapon]

[What was the government thinking? Assigning him of all people to Whispering Rock?

Psychonaut Picard, now Counselor Picard, sat in his office, certainly not brooding. He went through the roster of campers that were currently at the camp, noting those that he would most likely need to assist. His specialty was psi-shields and the camp was in need of a counselor with his skills. A few rough missions and they thought this would help him to relax.

Unlikely. His stack of Shakespeare and classical literature would be how he actually relaxed, but those would have to wait until after he was settled into his new assignment.

His door was open, practically inviting interruption.]

[Blackouts are a prime time for mediumship practice. So Stiles is currently in a deep conversation with one of the various ghosts that haunts the camp (as well as his mother, a constant opinion), completely absorbed in whatever he's doing. Even if it looks like he's talking to himself, he's not--but if you come over and talk to him, you'll probably scare him half to death.]
