TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional. [ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another. [ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get! [ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples! [ 5. ] Have fun!

[ Peebs seems to have an assortment of board games spread out around her. Where did she find them? Who knows. But she seems pretty absorbed in reading all of their rule books.

Scrabble. Pictionary. Battleship. Monopoly. Even the Pandemic board game.

Well, reading their rules is sure to be... interesting. But it'd be more fun to play them, right?

Or just bother her. Whatevs. ]

[Hope you don't mind Peebs, but Finn wandered over and he's been watching you from the back of your chair for a moment or two now. He's never interested in the rules to the game, just as long as it's fun and fair.

So he smiles a little, leaning his arm against the back of the chair.]

..So what kinda games do they got here..?

Oh, hey Finn. [ 'sup?

Peebs lowers her manual a little. Settlers of Catan. Whatever that is. ]

They've got all sorts of games here. For real.

Or, well, board games. No video games. [ But that's to be expected. ] Not that it'd do us any good right now, even if they did.

[He grins at her and takes a seat across from where the games are laid out, picking up one in his hands. Monopoly. Can't say he's ever heard of it.]

Huh... are they any good?

[ She glances down at the game in his hands. Monopoly. ]

Well, we have our own edition of that game in the Candy Kingdom.

It's not very fun, though. I always win, because I start the game owning all of the property. [ It's printed in the Candy Kingdom Edition rulebook. Royalty starts off with all the property. So the only person she can really play in it is her brother. ]

[He chuckles, putting it back down. Ok, no Monopoly then.]

..A'ight- well... what else y'got here?

[Glob board games are downright boring to him. Maybe except card wars, but that can get...messy. And he's unsure if that sort of game is even here or not.]

Leeeeeet's see...

[ Peebs starts picking up random games, reading their titles, and then discarding the boxes over her shoulder. Hope nobody's walking behind her or something. ]

Scrabble... Checkers-slash-chess set... Settlers of Catan... Mouse Trap.... Candy Land? Huh. [ Toss. ] Psychonauts: The Board Game... Pandemic... Munchkin?

[He makes a face. Wow, a lot of those games sound either...really lame, or something he wouldn't be able to understand. He smiles a little at Candy Land though- he can't help it.]

...Man, a lot of those sound....kinda hard. Aren't games supposed to be, yaknow..

..fun?

Most games have pretty complicated rules. Even games from centuries ago have fairly complicated rules governing them.

If you're looking for an easy game, maybe Apples to Apples? Or Pictionary? [ Yeah she's got nothing. ] Checkers?

..Dang. Those still sound....hard..

[He frowns, sighing.]

If it wasn't rainin' we could just go outside and find somethin' to do.

Well, yeah. But if it wasn't raining, we wouldn't be stuck in here without power.

[He picks up one of the board games PB didn't toss, frowning at it.]

...Better than nothin' I guess. I don't think I even know how t'play half of these though...

Aww, that's fine. I've read all of the rules by now. I can teach you! It'll be a breeze.

Aw really?

[Though a breeze might not be the word for it.]

[Nudging his sister's shoulder, Gumball kneels beside her.]

Hey there bro. [ She doesn't need to look up from her booklet to know who it is. Only two people really call her Bonni, and only one of them is a guy. ] I found some board games in a closet. I thought it might be fun to pull them out.

I didn't even know we had these. What've they got?

[He picks up one of the box covers to check them out, raising a brow.]

They'd got a bunch of games. A lot of stuff I haven't seen before, too! [ Not that they have a huge amount of board games back home or anything, though.

Besides the Candy Kingdom Edition of Monopoly, anyway. ]

Well, let's check out some of them.

[He leans over, looking over a few of the boxes.]

Let's not play Monopoly.

[Seriously. Most boring game ever.]

I dunno. It might be fun to play a game where we're not automatically awarded all of the game's property by virtue of our royalty. [ Seriously, the Candy Kingdom Edition is fudged the heck up. ]

Come to think of it, perhaps you're right.

[It... really is. It's one of many things that bothers Gumball- but he'll change those things one day. Him or Peebs. Or, if they're lucky, both of them.

He slides the box over to check it out.]

...Certainly less colorful.

[ Marshall ambles over to where Bubblegum has set up camp, curious as to what she's dug out that's spread all over the floor. It doesn't take much to figure out that they're board games, but he's surprised to see them.

Crouching across from her, he rests his arms on his thighs. ]
