TEST DRIVE

TEST DRIVE MEME
[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional.
[ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another.
[ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get!
[ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples!

[ Despite the fact she weighs a good thirty, forty pounds less and he has at least a foot on her? Yes, yes she could. ]

Show me which way to go, I can't really see over this thing, jesus, are you sure we have enough water? [There's not much bite to his sarcastic comment as he takes a couple steps forward, looking over at her for a minute. It's not like he doesn't talk to his mom pretty much every day, but it doesn't quite soften the hurt of her being gone.]

Yeah. You woulda liked her, I think. She was a kindergarten teacher.

You're going the right way so far-- here, I'll get the doors. Watch your elbow. [ After so many years at the camp, she's unfazed by his comment. ] How come you're having so much trouble with it? You've got a foot on me.

[ Tooth bumps one of the swinging doors open with her hip, holding it open. ] I thought about becoming a teacher, once. [ A pause, in hesitation. She's got her mediumship badge, and knows he specializes in it, but... ] Is she..?

Feminine superpowers. [He says that with an absolute straight face. If you'd ever met Lydia Martin, you would understand the phrase feminine superpowers. She could probably lift a truck with her pinky finger.

And then throw it at Stiles. Yeesh.

Edging around the door carefully, he pauses, letting his eyes close for just a second and the subtle shift in his vision activate; out of the corner, he spots a familiar figure and nods, jerking his head towards the right.]

She's always here--well, okay, not always. She's with my dad a lot, but my dad can't see her. [There's a moment of silence as he edges through the door, then snorts.] She says hi.

[ Laughing softly, she shakes her head. At least Stiles learned the truth of ladygrit, though there's a certain place where they stop for Tooth. She tried to lift Bunnymund once.

He didn't believe me until I got my mediumship badge. [The smile on his face goes a little fond and he thinks back on his dad's face when he'd told him he could talk to mom. Hell, the look on his mom's face when she'd talked to the sheriff for the first time using Stiles as a mediator between them. It wasn't the same, but it didn't change the fact that they'd almost been a family.]

Whatever she tells you about my love life is definitely not true. [Now he chuckles and rolls his head, pushing his way into the main room.]

Sometimes it takes experience to believe in something. [ That, Tooth knows without a doubt. But at least it was a powerful motivator, much like belief itself is.

As Stiles talks and moves into the main room, she walks backwards and leads him along carefully. Though she has a thought, one that brings a memory to mind, she keeps it a little sadly to herself. At least he still had her around in some capacity-- he was lucky, there. ]

Oh really now? [ A teasing note enters her voice. ]

He's not so big on the whole psychic powers thing--don't get me wrong, he's supportive as all hell, it's just like my dad got picked up and thrown in the middle of Hogwarts or something. [Stiles follows her, unable to see over the stack of bottles, but peering around it to look at her and keep from tripping on anything, either. He does that well enough with his arms empty.]

Yes! Absolutely. Positively. 100000%. [EYEROLL] Mom's the best but that doesn't mean she's not occasionally really misguided about her son's nonexistent love life. Especially considering she almost never leaves. Her and Derek's sister, but I think that's just because she likes me.

That was kind of how it was for my father. Papa took to it pretty gracefully, though. [ A smile stays on her face, but Tooth's voice is a little distant, before she refocuses and makes sure he doesn't trip on what she knows is an uneven plank of wood in the floor. It gets everyone, every once in a while. ]

Agent Hale? [ Oh, she thinks she knows where this is going. But she just chuckles with quiet amusement, tilting her head a little at him. That's sort of funny. ] I'll make sure to keep that in mind when I talk to her, promise.

We're on a strictly need to know basis. What matters is that he's proud, I guess. [That's right--Tooth's parents. What Stiles knows, he's picked up from copious googling and gossip around the camp; he likes to talk to people and try to learn everything he can about the people around him. But learning about Tooth kind of makes Stiles feel bad, and he swallows his knowledge down in the minute that he stubs his toe on the loose plank, swearing and sidestepping it. Stupid old cabin.

At her final comment he bristles. Man.] No! Not--god, yes, his sister, but not. --Yeah, definitely, totally keep that in mind. She'll really like the company. Sometimes she talks to the kids around camp when they're developing, too. [WHAT A CONVENIENT SUBJECT CHANGE.]

That's a pretty important thing, yes. [ Still bright, despite her thoughts and the subject, her hands go up to rest on the backs of his as he stubs his toe on the board. There's a sympathetic wince on her face, and a mental note to talk to maybe Cruller to get that fixed. Stupid thing.

Oblivious to his guilt and turmoil, Tooth allows for the subject change rather gracefully. Sure, she teases quite a bit when you least expect it, but she knows when to stop. ] And they need a friendly face when they start to, really. On every plain.
