TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional. [ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another. [ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get! [ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples! [ 5. ] Have fun!

Won't be long.

[ He really expects to walk out of the lounge to see it. ]

Aw, c'monnnn, Bunnymund. Share with good ol' Agent Aquato and the firsties.

Alright, alright.

[Bunny grins, rolling his eyes as he gets ready to tell a story of his own.]

Don't suppose any of y' know anythin' abou' mythical creatures, huh? Dragons, fairies... shapeshifters.

[gogglicious]

Shapeshifters?

[ Youngest Psychonaut he may be, but Raz is still a kid. He leans forward, crossing his legs again as he listens attentively. Around them, of course, the new campers perk with interest. ]

[pooka]

Long, long ago, they say there was a race of shape shifters.

[He leans in as if telling them a secret, grinning as he does.]

Some say they came from th' pools of Irelan', an' some say from Atlantis. But th' one I believe?

That the pooka was from th' stars.

They say they 'ad six forms.

oh no.

[gogglicious]

The stars.

[ Raz obviously plays devil's advocate to the story to help build it up, his skepticism contradicted by his blatant interest. He gets hushed, of course, but he shrugs dramatically, hands included. ]

Alien shape shifters.

[pooka]

Alien makes it sound weird.

[He laughs, though, continuing.]

Said they were sent by a moon's king from another galaxy, an' they liked ev'ryone on earth so much they decided t' stick around.

But the king of the Pooka? 'E was a trickster.

[gogglicious]

Well it's weird.

[ A couple first year campers shush him loudly, and he throws his hands up before shifting to fan his hands in the nearby lights.

With some psychic energy and some added pyrokinesis, he starts to illustrate the story in the shadows. Stars appear on the nearby wall, along with a moon and a shooting star going towards what seems to be Earth. ]

[pooka]

Jus' like that.

[Grinning at the illustration, Bunny continues.]

They say 'is favourite form was a horse. 'E could make 'imself into a dog, a rabbit, a goat, a goblin... even take the form of a man. But what 'e loved best was to be a big, dark horse with a long mane an' golden, glowin' eyes.

[gogglicious]

[ And, of course, Razz illustrates the images one by one with a flicker of both his hands and his mind. A horse, dog, rabbit, goat, and hunched little goblin, before the goblin turns into a man.

He has to consider the horse a second time, as he takes in the description. Big and dark with golden, glowing eyes makes him think of nightmares.

He makes it look like a more graceful horse, carefully. ]

[pooka]

[Satisfied, Bunny continues.]

Now, a man I knew liked t' tell a story that 'is father'd been out with 'is friends at night once, off 'is face. He went an' got 'imself separated an' 'ad ta walk 'ome alone until 'e found a dark horse with a long mane.

So 'e mounted th' horse, hopin' t' get 'ome a little quicker. 'Til, of course, th' horse took off at a blindin' speed with 'im still on it, jumpin' over fences and rivers an' up hills like no horse should be able to do.

Dropped 'im off right in front of 'is home, scared out of 'is wits, an' 'e swears th' horse laughed-- but it was gone in a flash. They never say goodbye, after all.

The best stories have drunk people.

[ It's said conversationally, which is probably what gets some giggles from the group, but Raz continues his work. Illustrating this story is a lot easier than his mostly accurate, partially made up story for Edgar. (Not everything should be shared with people that weren't there.)

The ending is kind of sad, though. Even as he gets a kick out of the ride, making all the landscape as best he can, he wasn't quite expecting that.

So the shadow pooka rides off by itself. ]

'Course, they've never hurt a human rider. If they were ever aroun', that is. Guess it's all in what ya believe in, right?

[He says it good naturedly, leaning forward a little.]

But if yer ever out seein' a black horse like that, y' might wanna be nice to 'im.

[gogglicious]

Who knows where it'd take you, otherwise.

[ As he turns back around, he holds a flashlight at his chin and wiggles his fingers 'ominously' with an ooooo. ]

And that concludes junior counselor Bunnymund's story about alien horses.

[ A lighthearted poke, as Raz grins. ]

[pooka]

I dunno, Aquato. Things ya don't believe in tend ta find a way to force their way in yer 'ead.

Y'd better stay off the booze when yer old enough, y' hear?

[He's teasing as well, and it's obvious, at least.]

[gogglicious]

Oh I believe that. [ And seen it in minds plenty enough. ]

But I will be the most responsible adult ever, agent's honor. [ He places his hand over his heart, holding the flashlight up. ]

[pooka]

[With a snort, Bun raises his brows in disbelief.]

I'll wait t' see that one.

[The idea of Raz being an adult in general was a very silly one.]
