TEST DRIVE MEME

[ 1. ] Comment with a character you'd like to test out in the game's setting. Put their name and series in the title! Camp position optional. [ 2. ] Oh no! The power is out all across camp due to a nasty storm, and everyone's been brought to the lodge for safe keeping! There are candles, flashlights, lanterns, and the gas powered stove, but not much else besides one another. [ 3. ] Tag around with one another! Figure out preexisting CR for characters returning to camp, and get an idea of what new CR you could get! [ 4. ] App all those characters. You can use your threads from this for one of your samples! [ 5. ] Have fun!

[So you want to see what he looks like caught off guard, well, that's.

That's going to be easy to achieve, because the minute she grabs onto him, Stiles jumps about a foot in the air.]

Jesus-- [And promptly tries to rearrange his limbs into what appears to be some form of turning around.] --Christ, do you have to do that?!

[Arya's behind Stiles, a shit-eating grin on her face, hands on her hips. Thankfully, she doesn't have her sword out right now, or that'd probably give Stiles even more reason to freak out. She turns around for a second to face her wolf.]

Nymeria, to me.

[When Nymeria's finally bounded over there, Arya sits down unceremoniously next to Stiles.]

Who're you talking with?

[Oh great, he got scared by a kid. Trying to calm his heart hammering in his chest and peering past her at Nymeria, he offers his hand out to pet her cautiously, then looks at Arya--but he turns away for a second when he answers the question.]

....My mom. Some people call home once a week, I slide into the plane of mediumship and psychically communicate with her.

[nymeriarya]

[Nymeria accepts the pet, nuzzling Stiles's leg. For once, Arya's actually sitting, listening intently. She always thought Stiles was just talking to random people, but...his mom, wow. She didn't know that about him.]

...I want to do that, too.

[Tentatively, she asks:]

Is it hard?

[Scratching Nymeria behind the ear, he tilts his head to face Arya again, thoughtfully.]

Yeah. [but then] It's hard at first, and it's really, really weird. But if you practice, and I guess, more than anything, if you go along with the strength of your own will and all that, you'll get the hang of it. After that it's just avoiding the bored ones that want to pull pranks on you and finding the people you want to talk to most.

[Stiles' mouth slides into a grin.] I'm one of the junior counselors for it.

[Arya does have a strong resolve, and she's brave - she's the first one that'll tell you that, loudly and often. She might be able to take it on, but...she's not exactly sure she'll be ready to talk to her parents just yet.]

I want to try for that badge this summer, then. I've decided. I promise I'll work hard at it, and if any ghosts try to bother me, I'll just slash them away with my sword.

[She's got this all figured out, of course.]

[Stiles' brows go up. He likes Arya--from what he's gotten to see, she's spunky and determined and reminds him a lot of a couple of friends from home. Grinning, he offers her his fist for a fist bump.]

I'm pretty sure that won't work, that whole corporeal thing really puts a damper on it. But if you wanna learn, I'm your man. This is like the one thing I'm good at, and I bet you'll be awesome at it too.
